time and resources, I would not call it a sacrifice... I already volunteer some of that, and I see it as being part of a community that in many ways, would help and support back

now, one's life... that of course, I would see it as a sacrifice, and I've risked my life before, in very particular and specific cases, so...

the thing about "strangers" and this is how I see it... if it were my loved ones in danger, I would HOPE that other "strangers" would and could do anything possible to help my beloved when I can't do it myself...

No, not unless it made sense. For example if I was rich, sure I would give a stranger some money like a homeless dude, but since I'm also poor no way. I have to put myself first really.

I was brought up that way and continue to live my life giving time and resources to people who need it. But it is not unlimited. The person receiving those resources needs to be invested in the effort to better their situation. And there was a time in my life when an entire city gave time and resources to help me.

I'm honest and I wouldn't sacrifice my life for someone else. Maybe some few minutes time or small amount of money, but bigger sacrifices are against human nature.

I have done that more than once and it worked out fine, I'm still alive. but one of them almost got me killed as I got covid from this homeless woman I stopped to help.
