The heart of this issue is interesting to me. There’s this curious political divide on “presidential” qualities. The democrats prefer a slick tongued liar who can’t respond to a question or challenge without having rehearsed it in order to appear as though they have got their poop in a group. Republicans seem to like Drumpf’s more grounded ‘calls it as he sees it’ approach. Sure, he gets it wrong sometimes. And he certainly would benefit from knowing better when to respond and when to just shut up. But there’s an honesty in his organic messaging that i find refreshing.
That said, i am notoriously difficult to offend with words. I’m more offended at the idea of censorship, including self censorship.

Trump has a good record when it comes to veterans- he cleaned up longstanding problems in the VA during his first term. That means a lot more than focusing on one thing he said (which while I wouldn’t have said it, wasn’t an insult). But you can always count on leftists to ignore substance and misrepresent anything.
