I wouldn't say it's "always" a female teacher gittin it on doing the deed with her students. But I have to admit as a guy I'm surprised that it apparently is much more common than I ever thought. I thought women were too risk averse to go there. I thought women don't have the high sex drive that men do. Oops, wrong! Apparently this is a case where generalizing "women's" behavior ignores the reality that there are always people far from the average.

What I don't understand is how these adults think they are going to get away with it. Sometimes it's not just one student. I've seen articles on a female teacher where she was fucking several students and/or having alcohol fueled orgies during "sleepovers" with male students at her house. Where the hell are the parents? How did a sleepover sound like a good idea to any parent?

People are bizarre.

Because women aren't treated the same as guys when they sleep with underage boys/girls they are more likely to do it as there is little fear of consequences. When I was being interviewed about having sex with an older female teacher I could tell that the male police officers were kinda turned on.

Because there are WAY more female teachers in general (75-25 split I believe). If you accounted for the gender ratio it probably would show different trends.

It is always a female teacher isn't? There could be just more news worthiness in female pedos than male pedos but I would think pedos in general would make the news.

As i understand it about equal numbers of both genders are attracted to children. There is a theory that brains are miswired such that an adult inclination to care for children to becomes sexual excitement over children.

It is still true that a male sexually interfering with a girl is viewed more seriously than a female with a boy. There is a perception the female has done the boy a favor. Even at the professional level this appears to be true and the damage is ignored.

It could just be female teachers are less inhibited due to this.

I had the misfortune to walk through a shopping with a male pedo. It was chock full of 18 yo girls strutting their stuff. When I saw his head swivel I expect to see a cute 18 yo showing all she had off.

Statistically there's far more female teachers these days than male - largely because guys get put off by peer pressure at 17-19 when making career choices accusing them of being pedos if they want to work with kids.

That means there's a greater chance of a female teacher getting involved with a student simply because there's more of them.

My thoughts would be if you looked at percentage of male teachers and percentage of female teachers getting involved with students you'd find it's about the same, but it makes more headlines when it's women involved.

Unfortunately men are expected to be predators these days so it's not a headline that sells unless one male teacher gets his entire class pregnant on the same day during morning recess. And everyone else's class at lunchtime.

Nowadays male teachers are hugely self aware of ANY impropriety with students and are hyper vigilant about risks. 30 years ago in my first role my head of department (a woman) gave me the advice to "never be left in a room with (girls name) she's made allegations before and as a young male in this job NEVER BE left in a room alone with a student with the door shut and always leave a way out for any student who needs to leave"

I can still recall the moment I was warned about the risks of being a man in that position. Any question of something is a suicide.

Women get less harsh punishments, plus they're kinda encouraged to do so. Plus more of them.

Then I have an odd take but I think it's true. I think women have a thing about younger males that romantized it in their head. Guys of course sexualise younger girls but it's less romantic. I think that romantic nature actually pushes these women to do it, telling themselves it's okay and etc. While guys know it's wrong.

Most teenage boys would jump at the chance to have sex with a teacher if she was halfway hot looking. Teenage girls would not look twice at an out of shape, middle aged guy.

I think that it is a numbers game. Since teaching is a female dominated field; you will almost certainly have more female teachers having a relationship with their students than male teachers. I would imagine that if you looked at the percentage it would be closer to even between the two.

There's a lot more female teachers than male so naturally more would get caught. Also, teenage boys are a lot more likely to brag about having sex with a teacher so it's possible that it's easier for male teachers to get away with it.
