Why is male sexual “objectification” demonized but female financial “standards” celebrated?

• when men say, “I’m attracted to her body and want something casual.” → “Monster! You’re objectifying women.”

• Woman says, “I won’t date a man unless he pays my bills.” → “Yes, queen, know your worth.”

Same underlying behavior—valuing the opposite sex for a resource (sex vs. money). Yet only one is socially punished.

Is this purely evolutionary wiring, fallout from modern feminist narratives, or something else?

Genuinely curious how everyone—men and women—explain the double standard.

You always want to punch up like in comedy. Hell even usa constitution makes efforts not to punch down.

I'm a 6'8 dude getting back to my early 20 fighting weight of 300lb. So walking home at night I get why people cross the street seeing me. At the same time I take a feeling of pride walking people home if asked. It's the same power dynamics and I have to respect all out comes of it.

I'm too lazy to think of situation with money because that's my favorite way to use my money. It's a means to an end not an end of itself. Is that the point we are missing?

At the end of the day money is a roof and food everyday. Sure they can be extravagant but it is still roof, food, and clothing. Still feels shitty getting exorbitant expensive nessesity to suck off someone you hate.

Everyone is seeking what they want. If there are people who don’t want whatever you are, who cares? Either change yourself or find someone who is into someone like you.
There’s no point in shaming a girl for holding out for a tall Dutch man, and there’s no point in shaming a guy who’s waiting for 34DDs.
A world where people are forced to connect with people that they are not into would suck.
If you’re in a group no one is into then you need to work on yourself if relationships are your goal.

Objectification is a annoying. However, what some women claim to be objectifying is really just preference. You are entitled to having preferences and acting upon them. Attraction is an important part of it all.

I will argue that any woman requiring a man to pay her bills is just broke toxic waste. What whole "know your worth, queen!" in that scenario is just enabling that toxic mindset.

Female and Male financial success is celebrated, that is a good thing.

Having physical standards is completely normal. Also wanting your partner to have a job that can help support you both and any potential future life together is also completely normal.

The average woman doesn’t require you to earn x amount of money. Most women are satisfied as long as you have an income, and some decent sense of financial responsibility. What someone does for a living tells you a lot about them and how much they make matters when you're trying to plan for the future.
