Instructions on "How to Mail a Letter" are now available from the USPS?

Poor guy. He actually received some "snail mail" and just can't deal with it. But never fear- help is near!!! Now the USPS (United States Postal Service) actually has on-line DIY instructions on how to mail a letter or postcard to help minimize your frustrations. I kid you not!!! They have to explain how to mail a letter! I'm surprised they didn't include a fifth picture reminding people to actually WRITE something ON the paper before mailing!!!

What IS this strange piece of paper? What do I DO with it?

Seems pretty reasonable. I'll bet there are plenty of people in their twenties who have never mailed a letter in their life. I certainly wouldn't expect everyone to know the price of a postage stamp etc.

Similarly, I have no idea how buses work these days. Do they still accept coins? If you pay contactless, do you still have to tell the driver where you're going, or do you just tap your card when you get off? What if you want a return fare (which is presumably cheaper than two singles)? I'd imagine anyone who uses buses regularly would think all this blindingly obvious / common knowledge, but if like me, you haven't been on a bus in twenty years, how would you know?

Call me crazy but hasn't that been a thing since uses? How would usps be able to function without detail instructions how to use the postal services. When the post office started majority of people were illiterate yet needed ways to communicate.

I can’t remember when I learned how to mail a letter. I believe postage might have been nickel at the time! Plus you had to lick the stamp.

Oddly enough it is probably accessed a lot. People today do not write letters or use the Postal Service.

I can understand that mailing is becoming a bit of a lost art but this is something you could just google. That was how I learned.

Which is the whole point. Google is a search engine - it doesn't host any information itself, so there needs to be a page somewhere for it to direct people to, and who better to provide that than the USPS website?
