As for Russia-Ukraine invasion and breaking the agreements UK-US-France-Ukraine and Russia agree in the 90s so Russia got back many of the former USSR nuclear missiles based in Ukraine (it would have the 4th highest amount of them in the world at the time) the agreements that border integrity and international rule of law would be expected was broken in 2014 when Putin invaded sovereign land of Ukraine. This should have triggered a RotW military response where US, UK and France should have sent in assets to kick the Russians out. Since they didn't Putin saw the west as weak and unwilling to put their money where there mouth is. The latest addition of a puppet if Putin into the Whitehouse in US shows even less chance of actual action that ought to have been made when the authoritarian corrupt Soviet in Moscow broke the agreement.

Now that the war has gone on for 3 years, Putin has already claimed some of Ukraine and if he were to give it back it would make him look weak and Russians would be angry at him for getting tens of thousand Russians killed and trillions of Rupees wasted on this war tat Putin should not have started.
Zalensky wants all the land back. Trump is trying to broker a deal but neither side wants to budge. Maybe the best he can do is get NATO to pick up the tab for this and save the US hundreds of billions of dollars.
