According to Google, it's a combination of things such as declining negative lifestyle habits like smoking, increased health and skincare awareness (including sunscreen use), a shift toward more youthful fashion and expressions of self, and a delay in traditional adult responsibilities and milestones.

So basically we don't smoke like our parents and grandparents, we take better care of our skin, we dress way younger, and we don't work nearly as hard as they did.
