Absolutely. And the higher you “rank” in society, in terms of power or monetary influence, the MORE accountable I want you to be.
1. Political crime
2. White collar crime
3. Street crime
That’s the order of importance to me, and what causes the most detriment to our society. We only seem to go after the third most important one though. We’ve got the whole thing backwards. I’m not worried about getting mugged, lmfao. I worried about bajillionaires exercising control over our lives for no one’s benefit but their own. Fuck a burglar, I don’t give a fuck about them
I disagree with most of the laws on the books in the USA. For example, the Bill of Rights and "Peer Juries" are ridiculous. There should be a requirement to be a Doctor of the Law to sit on a Jury, instead of having uneducated fools determining a defendant's fate.
I think "Statehood" is a bad thing. We ought to have the same definition of each crime in every state and the same punishment for each crime in every state. Instead, we have 50 definitions of "murder" and none of them make any sense.
