Trump is having an uphill battle trying to enforce bipartisan agreed upon immigration law. By law, people immigrating to America must first have a medical screening, and a criminal background check. I can't imagine anyone dumb enough or greedy enough to disagree with that. We don't need more of Biden's rapists, gang members or murderers in the country. And we don't really need plagues entering the country.
Trump himself said we can't very well deport illegal farm workers, because it's gotten to a point where there's just so many illegal farm workers that we depend on them.

Phase one of my plan would be to send immigration teams out to the farms. They would document every illegal worker and vet them for criminal background checks and health checks. If they fail either they're deported. If they pass both tests, they will get legal migrant work visas. All these are temporary and so are these. At the end of the work season they will go back to wherever they came from and be welcome back during the next season. The farmers will be notified that once all the employees have been documented, there will be spot checks in the future. Any farmer caught with an employee that's undocumented, will get a $100,000 fine per each.

Phase two would be to let the farmers know that Trump would be working hand in hand with the Mexican government to provide huge areas of farmland in Mexico to be leased at a very fair price. Any American farmer willing to move his operation to Mexico, will be assured that there will be a zero tariff on imports into America from that farm.
Take it or leave it. There will be no more hiring of illegals in America.

I've heard of people retiring from jobs like the post office. But the husband and wife's retirement plus social security, they can live quite comfortably in America. I heard that Americans can't buy property in Mexico but they can lease it for 90 years. I'm sure you saw that interview with crazy Hunter Biden. "Without illegal immigrants, who will cook for you? Who will clean your house? Who will do your gardening? Who will clean your pool? Who will wipe your ass?
So these retired couples can live comfortably in America, or live like royalty in mexico. Some people are opting for the adventure, and are throwing caution to the wind.

I don't think it's far-fetched at all for a farmer to move his operation South of the border. Grow your crops with cheap legal labor, and export the crops to America. Look at all the insanity that would be eliminated.

For decades legal migrants have come in to work in the farms. It sounds like this will expand that program.

Yes, they applied for a migrant work visa and the farmers had to work with them to get them. I think legally the farmers had to swear they couldn't find Americans to do the work. Because Visa workers are not allowed to displace an American worker. But I also think the farmers had to sponsor them and be on the hook in case they did something bad. And I'm sure the farmers pay their travel expenses in both directions. It worked out good for everyone. The migrants liked being able to go home on their vacation. But now greed is taking over and everyone forgot that this work can be done legally.
