My property taxes went up over a thousand dollars to make up the shortfall that the town used to get from the state because the state spends over a billion dollrs on illegal aliens. Taking care of one another is our greatest responsibility as human beings. I find it inherently gross to view everything through a lens of “how much money will this cost me?” I feel much better about this expenditure of my tax dollars than probably a ton of other stuff they go to.
