You’re going to get a mixed bag when you’re dealing with tens of millions of people. Some people process tragedy through dark humor. Others are plain old insensitive. I’d say the overwhelming response from anyone I’d consider a “talking head” of the left, they’ve pretty strongly and unequivocally denounced it.

It’s difficult because our whole problem with Charlie Kirk and the MAGA movement in general is that they lack humanity and decency. Like that’s the whole reason I know who these people are, their apparent commitment to that lack of humanity and decency. These are people who boil my blood when they speak, simply because they’re such CARTOONISHLY bad people, and seemingly very proud of it. It’s very, very difficult to show decency, compassion, and humanity to people who make their entire careers on the absence of it, but I think for the most part, the left is managing. It’s just that the right wingers online are so gleefully mean most of the time, I think some folks on the left lose their own minds in response to it, and you’ll see insensitive comments like these when it’s a time to just pause, and either reflect or respectfully shut the fuck up for a minute

The prominent politicians are celebrating too. They’re mouthing the politically correct thing now, but donating to the gofundme for the terrorist who assassinated Kirk. They have already started planning the next one, this worked out so well. They’re not going to stop killing us. Agreed. I've always understood Empathy and Narcissism as a spectrum. Extremes of either are both detrimental. While extreme empaths give, and give and give, they are seldom ever fulfilled. On the other side, extreme narcissism, often explained as a survival instinct, take and take and take are also seldom fulfilled. An Empathetic can learn from a narcissist how to be more self focused. And vice versa, a narcissist can learn how to be more outwardly focused. Balance should always be the goal.
