Good question. Drumpf knew Kirk personally. So he is obviously more invested in Charlie’s life and more affected by his death.
To be fair, even Tim Walz didn’t order flags at half staff after Hortman’s murder. Considering Boelter was appointed by and working for the governor, and the motive for the killing appears to be Hortman’s most recent project which appeared to be a successful bipartisan bill, Minnesotans should definitely raise this question to their elected representatives. Even South Dakota lowered their flags for Hortman. Why didn’t Walz make the same order?
