I don’t believe it for one minute. If the mid-terms and next POTUS election are unbelievable landslide victories for republicans, then i’ll believe it. This is most likely propaganda designed to drive more wishy washy people from center-left and center to center-right and right. There are a lot more people who will change their vote just because someone else is doing it than we should be comfortable with in this country. This matter is at the heart of the reason we don’t more than two major parties in the US. Everyone is more interested in being associated with the winners than in doing what is best for the country and its citizens.

2. Pennsylvania — The article claims Pennsylvania saw Republican registration double in the week ending Sept. 13 compared to the week before. Specifically, it says there were ~2,148 new GOP registrations that week vs ~1,018 the previous week. 
3. New Mexico — It says that from Wednesday (Kirk’s death) to Sunday, 78 Democrats approached a booth at the state fair in New Mexico to change their registration to Republican. 
4. Personal testimonies — Several people are quoted who say they recently changed registration from Democrat (or from independent/no party) to Republican because of what they perceived in the wake of Kirk’s murder.
