You got only one family. Good on you holding your own and reaching out.

There's the common sentiment having things better for your kids and the kids having better opportunities then there parents. So this kind of reaching out is historically reciprocated.

The fundamental problem is boomers fucked everything up.

GO ENJOY some twilight years and ride out that giant wealth wave and let young adults jump start life. This isn't nessary your parents but larger countries capitalist class and political leadership who are endlessly sucking off tech billionaires soon to be trillionairs. How does someone become a trillionair? By being a failure at everything.

Have you not read any recent research? There are a lot of cons to having taken the vaccine and they've been finding more the longer they have to study the effects. I'd hope your family's intelligence starts to rub off on you soon.

Taking the covid vaccine is far less risky than catching the virus

Nonsense. Let me give you hard facts.

-More than 81% of all COVID-19 deaths occurred in people over age 65.

-In various studies, nearly 90% of seriously ill and fatal COVID-19 cases had significant comorbidities, such as hypertension, diabetes, dementia, cardiovascular disease, or compromised immune systems.

-Deaths among young children (under 18, especially under 5) were extremely rare, accounting for less than 0.2% of all COVID-19 deaths globally.

It was only fatal to those who were elderly and had health issues. In young children, its fatality rate was less than 0.2%. The flu has a higher chance of killing kids than covid did at 0.6% chance. And both are EXTREMELY low.

Everyone in these comments talking about intelligence as if Trump didn’t call his followers dumb. But I think it’s ok, I have a few friends that voted for him and I try to be understanding because I don’t think they knew any better. One of them ended up regretting it, so I don’t think they’re bad people, they might just not have understood what they were voting for.

I got a disagree. They can be good to him but voting for Trump is still a value statement about your worldview and relationship with society. I assure you it does not look good on Trump supporters.

No I mean they are still your family and that is important despite their political beliefs. If you can stand to be around them then you should be if possible. Maybe you can help them to realize the truth as well at some point.

Not at all. Why would it be? I just met with a cousin I hadn't seen in years. She's MAGA but we didn't talk about that.

No. You SHOULD!! Just don't compromise yourself. Like Trump said, "If they hit you, you hit them back 10x harder"

Of all the things that didn't happen under the Trump administration, this is the thing that didn't happen the most.
