What things do you think black people are good at?

I know there are going to be people who give nasty answers, so those will be removed. What do YOU think black people are good at? Any skills, smarts, or talents you feel like black people in particular have?

Honestly I don’t come from a place where skill is segregated so I don’t have a segregated list. Some individuals are just good at analytical things, others at creative, others at dance/sports, etc.

Historically, though, I’ll say this: Those of African descent (wherever they are on the globe) are most certainly models of resilience against generations of global deferential treatment and negativity. I’ve personally learned a great deal about keeping perspective from an amazing mentor who brought the works of Wheatley and other early African American narratives to my attention as a student. It opened my heart and mind to a world I could not possibly have imagined as the child of immigrant parents who always felt the sting of “being different” and being measured on a “different” scale.

I remember that moment to this day and hope I’m passing the lessons of resilience and creative expression onto the next gen as I serve and advise them.

Im not sure if its considered a skill but most black people have good hygiene and skin care routines. They acutally use a wash cloth to clean themselves and moisturize their skin. Seems basic but so many white people and other races dont do basic hygiene like that

I don't think it's monolithic.. "Black" people are people who just happen to share the same or similar phenotype.. But we are not one group with shared skills.. Culture and the adherence to it has allowed certain groups of "Black" people to have a bit more loose flowing body rhythm.. Less filter in American "Black" Culture has also made us out to seem funnier than usual.. And, many American "Blacks" can be pretty quick witted with the word play.. Or at least sound quick witted..

I think most of them are exceptionally gifted at singing and sports. While others have damn good sense of humour which I admire. Many are creative too. I mean everyone is different but these are some of the quality and talents that I've noticed are quite common in Black men and women.

Playing the race card whenever anything doesn't go their way. Getting free hand outs based on race. A few sports Basketball, NFL style football, medium and short distance running (not so much for long distance marathons), but not many and definitely NOT the majority of sports. Some Black women are good at singing such as Rihanna. I think Rihanna is one of the best sounding women singers.

They invented blues and rockandroll. ChuckB, LittleR. BeauD. White guys did pop and boogie woogie, Bluegrass and Country. We split jazz. Their babes invented the best romantic girl music that was derived from black gospel.

They are gifted in athletics.

Most of them are far more athletic than white people. Outside of possibly hockey and golf, there aren't any sports I can think of where whites are superior to blacks in athletic ability.
