I’d more say that liberals tend to be more/better educated, and until Trump came along, that used to be respected, and not treated like you’re a crazy brainwashed person, lmfao. That’s all out the window now, and the Conservatives have decided education is a bad thing, unless you teach people dishonestly and leave out the parts they want you to leave out.

The disparagement of education has me worried. Educators are trying to tell the truth instead of the whitewashed version that leaves you saying “Yay white people!”, lmfao. The trickle-down effects of the way our society has been run in an exclusionary manner for centuries are impossible to ignore and wildly foolish to dismiss. But that’s when the “fuck your feelings” crowd get all in their feelings, lmao. Same people think they know better than CAREER VIROLOGISTS when it comes to Covid, vaccines, all that. That is DANGEROUSLY STUPID, and they’ll probably be saying “NO! I’m just not a sheep!” or some other idiot-desperately-trying-to-look-enlightened saying.

I find it to be the HEIGHT of irony that Conservatives want to teach a wildly mischaracterized version of America’s history, and to teach the truth, to have them tell it, is “indoctrination.” Then they smile right in your face and tell you they want to indoctrinate the kids to be improperly-educated Christian nationalists.

I go back and forth about who’s dumb, who’s willfully delusional, who’s just a bigot who will reflexively dismiss being called out for said bigotry and then just try to manipulate the rules of what constitutes bigotry to make the necessary allowances for themselves.

MAGA-brand Conservatives, I’m quicker to call them dumb. So many of them just seem to be here for the party, they’ve been whipped into a frenzy with phony populist rhetoric, just living with the goalposts on a wheeled dolly.

Like I haven’t even thought to check yet, but I bet you all the “Fuck Ukraine, they’re on their own” folks are suddenly falling in line with Trump’s new, opposite, CORRECT (although I don’t buy Trump’s motives for a second) stance of “Ukraine good; Russia bad. These people just turn on a dime if he says so, and then act indignant when you call it a political cult, lmfao🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ “If Trump does it, it’s awesome and the best idea ever, even if he said the opposite yesterday. Just don’t ask me to cogently explain it.” Like for WHAT reason should I take people like that seriously?🙄

I can’t speak for all liberals, I just know that my standardized aptitude test scores were very high when I was a small child, I rocked my SATs with a near-perfect verbal score (and decidedly slightly above average math score, lmfao, I’m not a math guy🤣), and I’ve just always been able to sense that I’m functioning at a higher level than many of my peers, throughout different phases of life.

You’re never really allowed to say that you’re smart out loud or people think you’re arrogant, but it’s just demonstrated to me over and over again, in a way that I’d be able to perceive with heightened intelligence and they wouldn’t. And I’m sorry if that sounds arrogant, I’m just being honest. But I also know what I DON’T know, and defer to experts in those cases. And I think that’s one of the smartest things about me.

“Smart” =/= “knowledgeable”, it’s a capacity to perceive and grasp. It doesn’t mean you came pre-programmed with information, obviously, haha. Most things, I think I can perceive and grasp them well, particularly social matters, psychological profiles and unconscious root causes of behaviors (that I’m admittedly under-educated in, but I can just kind of “see it” and know what it is, minus the industry jargon), economics, history, and I guess I have a fair grasp of government and politics at this point. But also know when I’m in the dark. If I don’t know, I’ll just say that, or I’ll seek out the info and learn it.

Conservative conspiracy theorism is very worrying to me, and indicative of lack of intelligence in some people. Not saying there’s never been a conspiracy before, I’m just saying the conspiracies they push are usually dumb shit, and with the ultimate goal of achieving some desired outcome or incorrectly tweaking the way society looks at stuff. Like all the Covid conspiracy theories are the apex of dumbassery to me. You just didn’t like what you were being asked to do and sacrifice. That’s it. We’re not dumb, and we know that you ARE. We know this is largely about what you can or can’t do recreationally. We know that you don’t have a fucking clue about science or virology or vaccines, and we know you’re fucking stupid for thinking it was some grand globalist conspiracy or some other nefarious intention.

A pandemic broke out; smart people who know about that shit said “The best move while we sort this out and learn what we need to learn is to stay home, because this one is a doozy for some people, and we just can’t recklessly spread this around to everyone, causing additional replication (aka MORE of the virus in the air around us) and additional mutations to potentially more dangerous strains, because that’s how viruses work”, which virologists know and respect, and Jim-Bob Jablonski DOESN’T.

It caused plenty of hardship but was better than the alternative, and was the smartest play at the time with what little info they had. And Jim-Bob not liking it or facing hardship because of it, which I certainly have sympathy for, CANNOT be factored into virologists’ decisions and conclusions. Full stop. If you weren’t a virologist, you shouldn’t have been doing anything but shutting the fuck up and complying for the sake of broad society in an extreme time of need. “iT’s JuSt ThE sNiFfLeS!”….. shut the fuck up, that shit almost killed my dad. And Jim-Bob needing Endless Breadsticks at The Olive Garden or an Awesome Blossom at Chili’s one Saturday night per month can’t be the reason.

Honestly, I think Americans are just kinda dumb, period. Not genetically or anything, but just the way we live makes you stupid. Trump is doing insane shit everyday. 20% of us are rightly up in arms. 20% are cheering it on because they’re stupid and/or bad people. 60%, from all political ( or apolitical) factions, sadly, are sitting at home with a thumb in their ass wondering what’s on Netflix or what NFL games are on this weekend. Just blissfully dumb, shoveling fatty foods in their mouths and pounding 2 liters a day of liquid sugar.

I am without question smarter than all of them, and that’s not even meant as a flex. The floor is just that low.

Statistically speaking, liberals ARE smarter than conservatives. You would know this if you could read a chart. From combined sources across the web, which means we eliminate the well known right and left leaning "sources" and stick to the more unbiased ones, like PEW Research, here's your lowest ranked 16 states (for those conservatives who are really bad at math, that's nearly a third of all states)

Alabama, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, West Virginia,
Kentucky, Nevada, Texas, South Carolina, Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Indiana.

Of them 16 states, 13 are SOLID red through and through, while just 3 have recently voted blue ONLY in the Presidential elections. You can look up the Top 16 for yourself, but the blue will kill you. So yes, statistically blue states are indeed smarter than red.

I'm a progressive too and thinking isn't knowing.. Not having to think through something to determine you are smarter is childish. As a progressive you should try harder to build a bridge to open dialogue so we can try to learn from each other and find better compromises. Your way of thinking isn't progressive. Completely disagree. You're entitled your opinion but you're helping no one including your own causes with your line of defeatist thinking. There's zero point... why bother, there's nothing we can do. I've changed a handful of minds of friends and family and at the very least help them understand what being progressive really means as opposed to what the right wing narrative paints us as. I don't like being painted as a communist or socialist because that's what newsmax says progressives are. I openly share my beliefs with real people, when appropriate, and at least have gotten some to say well your not what I thought. Or oh I believe some progressive ideas too and I didn't know. Doesn't make them as progressive as me or not still conservative for the most point. But I have gotten many people to agree it's not radical to want healthcare for all, better wages, and paid family medical leave. They all agreed with me lol.

So that's something not nothing. You're talking about a percentage of them and you think it's all or mostly all of them. You're wrong, being closed minded but I still love ya lol. I'm just asking please don't give up. We're all depending on each other whether you realize it or not.
