Frankly I don't think the guy in the link is the brightest bulb and my impression he is slowly catching on to what the two totalitarian powers are doing and seems to be surprised by it.

The US has been saying for sometime that they cannot defeat both Russia and China at the same time. My take is that is why the US is reserved wrt Europe and reasonably wants Europe to do more of the heavy lifting.

It is not like WW2 in that the US cannot start making tanks and planes in car factories as it did then. Military equipment is far more specialized and probably have supply lines going over to Asia and will be more of a problem than losing the world supply of rubber to Japan in WW2.

Currently rare earths depend on China but Australian companies are metalizing rare earths and are currently in the US for discussions on the same. Might just be a 2 year problem.

The US has gaps to cover but so does China and Russia. A US blockade of oil tankers in the Indian Ocean outside of the Malacca straights will see China closing down in 90 days. Of course they will be working to cover this but haven't yet.

Both Russia and China are using gray zone tactics which will allow them to gain advantages if they are not opposed. Were ships dragging anchors through cables and pipes in the Baltic ever an unfortunate mistake? No more a mistake than what China is doing in the Phillipine Sea or in the Sea of Japan.

It is a gray zone war NOW. Not enough to become a full on kinetic war but that is the point of gray zone - just below the threshold of full kinetic. But gray zone tactics still need to be countered because the belligerents will continue to escalate them.

Best if Estonia shoots down the next MIGs that violate it's airspace because just as Russia has escalated since the first drones into Poland it will escalate more so.

Of course Russia and China will yell black is white but they are doing so already.

It is stOOpid to think that anyone in Russia wants to invade EU. While the operation in Ukraine is still ongoing.

Yet, Russian Foreign Ministry warned that Ukraine has collected used Russian drones, repaired them and intends to attack EU, using Russian drones, to provoke "WW3".

Because Ukraine ran out of men, they have to kidnap people on the street, often killing them in the process. A false flag like that to keep zelensky's cash flow makes logical sense. While an invasion on EU does not.
