I have been saying for a long time that Drumpf didn’t win the election. The democrats handed it over on a silver platter. The #WalkAway campaign is eight years old now, and gaining new momentum due to the lunatic left’s repulsive response to Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
Did you ever consider yourself a liberal, or a democrat? If so, when did you walk away and why?
Do you consider yourself a liberal or a democrat now? Have you reconsidered your position at all?
I was never a straight ticket voter but i have aligned more with one major political party than the other at different periods in my life. Most recently though, i’ve never been more disgusted by a party than i am with modern democrats. So much so that i literally shake my head to think that i used to align with them. I walked away long before WalkAway got a hashtag. How about you? Are you ready to turn over a new leaf? Or are you doubling down on the madness of the modern left?

You're never going to find a party that perfectly aligns will all of your views on every topic. You just have to proritize the issues that actually matter.

Unfortunately, Trump, the GOP, and the conservative media, have done an absolutely incredible job of creating distractions, and keeping discussion focused entirely on controversial issues that actually, don't really matter all that much.

Like the whole trans debate, for example. We're talking about less than 1% of the population, doing something that affects almost noone else. Whether you agree with it or not, it is simply not a major issue. But every time a conservative brings it up, democrats have to rise to the bait, instead of changing the subject to something that actually matters (which is what conservatives do - if they don't like a line of questioning, they just blame trans people or immigrants, and then they're right back on topic).

Meanwhile, all the issues that actually do matter; the ones that affect a huge number of people in a very significant way (in some cases, almost everyone) - wealth inequality, healthcare, abortion rights, etc - these are the issues where the Democrats have support from an overwhelming majority of the population. They should be easily winning every single election, but too many people vote against their own self interest, based on issues that they feel strongly about, but which ultimately don't even matter.

Let's face it, when Trump ran his opposition could have been worse as Presidents. Anyone who would have possibly been a great President dropped out of the race early. But I regret I voted for Trump. With all the bragging he does about the greats amount of money coming in from Tariffs, it makes you wonder why it doesn't shore up Medicaid or Social Security. Instead it goes to supporting Ukraine or Israel where, for every dollar spent, one person dies.

I would argue that the Democrats are no longer majority "Liberals" because the liberals left for the most part. Democrats are a majority Communists, Anarchists, and other general anti-Western groups that ally with each other with the only real common goal of destroying the West. It's a hate group at this point.

In college I had a few left leaning beliefs but as I got older and democrats kept going further and further left I started considering Republicans and Libertarians views and found I am more closely aligned with their beliefs and platform than democrats. As things stand now I could never consider voting for anyone that supports the democratic platform.

I grew up in a Democratic family, back when Democrats and Republicans got along and neither was radical left or right. Then, as I got older, both parties became more radical, moving father left and right, which is why I became an Independent, with some liberal beliefs and some conservative beliefs, nothing radical.
