Yes, the police department will know your phone number if you call them. If it is a land line then it will automatically be matched to your address where it is registered by matching database records. If it is a cell phone, then you can be triangulated from cell phone towers down from anywhere between 15-300 meters depending on the system used by your cellphone provider. Pay phones use to let you call semi anonymously, but they don't exist anymore.

Because the ones that get the calls are dispatchers, I doubt in emergencies they are giving out the number of the caller, they give the address and the police go to the address and even if they did give the number for some reason is that an issue?
