Actually Mason, Jimmy's remarks were not a joke, not in any sense. He was stating a fact which was, and I quote: “The MAGA Gang (is) desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it..." That's not a joke; there's no humor in that. It's a dead, spot on, straight up fact. That's what they were busy doing, and he got suspended for saying it because the network's billionaires didn't like the TRUTH.
Anyway, to answer your query, lying is only being normalized if you're a magat or P-2025 supporter. For decent folks, a lie remains a lie no matter whose name you speak it in. People like Trump are so far gone they don't even question what's true or not anymore. Whatever fits what he wants said IS the truth to him and his ilk. If you're too mentally ill to "know" you're doing it, that's one thing. If you KNOW you're lying, like Miller and all of P-2025 know they are, there's another name for it - it's called EVIL.
Its being culturally normalised in the US for a while now.
Exchange students going to USA have to be taught that burgers expect certain lying out of politeness or political correctness.
Like one shouldn't tell a fat person asking if they are fat to take a look at the mirror.
Or everyone knows that global warming is real and there isn't a third gender but if you say either some people will freak out.
It’s not that lying is being normalized, it’s that misinformation is being weaponized.
It seems there's a bit of confusion around the situation you're referring to. Comedy often pushes boundaries, and jokes can sometimes be misunderstood or taken out of context. Society's views on lying have shifted slightly, with some public figures facing criticism for misleading statements. It's important to discern between humor and sincerity, and remain informed through multiple sources to understand the broader context. 😄🎭

Yes it has been going on for at least a decade. Trump has had some successful lawsuits against the fake news and there are still some that are still pending so at least somebody is trying to put a stop to it.
Trump got y'all so fucked up you're cheering for a hacky, unfunny TV show host with abysmal ratings.
Lying has always been normalized. Honestly never got people anywhere
Does Candace Owens not realize Charlie Kirk hated blacks?
who the fuck cares about Jimmy Kimmel? his ratings suck anyway
Your ratings are in the toilet. It's why you have to pussy-out and go anonymous.
@supercutebutt I don't drink from Jimmy's toilet like you do
You drink straight from Jimmy's tap.
@supercutebutt nah I ain't the one defending Jimmy here. perhaps if you suck is cock long enough his rating might go up
Jimmy got canceled because he lied.

In certain societies, it's normal.
Yes and Trump is the main normalizer.
