Not at the moment, as we turn toward the irreversible path of embracing an authoritarian clown. I reflect critically on it all the time. Right now, we’re the butt of the world’s jokes…. we are disgraced and embarrassed every time PRES. PEDO leaves the country.

Canada dispossessed Indigenous folk and our Maritime (Eastern) province of Nova Scotia was so anti-black (it had Jim Crow ala the U. S. South and was called "Canada's Mississippi) it required civil rights laws to begin to remedy their version of apartheid. Even here in Windsor when I was a lad, certain stores wouldn't let us use the restrooms, and we had a couple of black clubs because our presence was unwelcome in white bars.

Mostly no... of certain parts absolutely not. Some parts I approve of, for example the introduction of the first universal healthcare system (by a staunch conservative, no less).

I am proud of the idea of 'Freedom for All' that is supposed to be behind my country's history but the actual implementation of it , as we all know, has fallen heartbreakingly short.
