How do you feel about Google ending its Women Techmakers DEI program?

Personally I see it as yet another sign the days of legalized, institutionalized sexism are behind us, which is a good thing and a long overdue course correction for the US, and indeed the West. What are your thoughts?

Institutionalized sexism is definitely not “behind us”. There are at least seven legal defenses that only women can utilize. Only men are forced to register for selective service. Failing to do so will cost most men all of their state privileges. Including but not limited to their voting privileges, drivers licenses, access to passport, student aid and loans, and ultimately their very property and freedom. Women get all of those things for free. Only men are required to sacrifice for them. Fathers’ rights and privileges aren’t even a meaningful discussion. Whereas mothers’ rights and privileges are all but guaranteed by law and almost universally recognized societally. Most states have dad by default laws and/or criminally prosecute men who do DNA testing on children without the mother’s knowledge and consent. Thereby forcing men to raise women’s children, even if they can prove that they are not the father. At no time in history has a woman ever been forced to raise someone else’s children under the law. It’s literally the norm here. In fact, in every aspect of law, men are treated more harshly than women; even for identical crimes.
Nope. We are eons away from institutionalized sexism being “behind us”. Feminists won. Men are second class citizens in every western country.

How do you justify Google spending $ millions on a program like that? Why is it needed?

Because biases taught to us are something we’re not consciously aware of, so DEI was made to combat the unconscious biases of people who, well-intentioned or not, choose those more like themselves than those unlike them despite having the same qualifications, this creates ethnically homogenous workplaces that carry a lot of ethical issues on their own, as I’m sure I don’t need to tell you.

Please feel free to compare ethnically homogenous nations such as Japan to America in terms of horrors committed alongside progress made. There’s a reason suicide is so common over there.
