Trickle-down "Reaganomics" was single-handedly the stupiest idea of the 20th century. But in all fairness, it wasn't Ronnie's idea, it was a joke made by his advisors that caught on. Ronnie was an actor, nothing more. That's all he ever did, he acted. He read the scripts of his masters, with one interesting caveat.

Reagan understood the value of migrant workers. He understood, since he was governor of California, that cheap labor kept the agricultural market going in Cali, and anywhere else. But in Cali, it was absolutely essential. He didn't care if immigrants got free emergency room care - it was a BARGAIN when compared to what it would cost to pay Americans to work the fields. He actually understood this.

Forward to 2025. The Republitards don't understand this. They have killed that part of the economy. It will take a while to die, but it's dead. They're not done killing things yet, so sit back.

Trump is trying to make trade deals around the world that favor the US but the problem is everyone is better at math than him and won't sign a deal that isn't profitable. Which is why the US can't produce a single signed document that outlines specifics of a trade deal except the UK deal which is tiny on paper and comes with so many restrictions on US goods that it was hardly worthy of an announcement.

@Tamera952 I've spent over 25 years in international trade importing and exporting all over the world. I've dealt with manufacturing with my brother in law who has 25 year of dealing with China in manufacturing and logistics. I'm familiar with global trade
