Why does he keep telling the same lame joke?

I go to a local store to pay my credit bill there. At the store is a nice looking guy who seems very outgoing. Everytime I go to pay my bill, he is at the counter where I have to pay it. Everytime he tells me the same joke. I pay with cash and he says can I have a few of those hundred dollar bills. Most times I just laugh and blow it off but today I pushed back and jokingly told him that he should pay me when he gets paid since he gets paid sooner then me. I told him I would come in and he could give me money on his payday. He replied with sure that would be fine, but he looked at the floor when he said that. I don't get why he always comes over to where I am paying my bill and says the same joke Why does he do this?

I think you might be right. Time will tell though. He may just have a poor sense of humor like another person answered. It just intrigued me that he does this when he has no reason too. Psychology is a funny thing sometimes. Lol

It’s hard to be a lady and ignore the loud barking and protests from the guys when you’re asking a simple question. I had a teacher at school who used to say “empty barrels make the most noise.” Think about that when you hear or read something you don’t like… and hold your head high.

As for the fellow, I would suggest moving along to someone who knows how to use his words.

No. He always approached me. He seems very happy and chatty with his coworkers and other customers.
