Something similar happened back in the 90s when the Democrats lost both the House and Senate for the first time in decades. At least then the Democrats had enough sense to back off from their far left rhetoric. It seems that liberals have gotten stupider over the years. Instead of accepting political reality, they doubled down on the very thing that made them lose.
