I stubbed my pinky toe so hard that i broke it once. It hurt. I probably cussed but i was too distracted to stop and think about it at the time, let alone perceive my own reaction well enough to recall it.
I was living in a two story townhouse. I was on the ground floor playing video games in my living room when i heard a storm coming in. I didn’t think much of it until a crack of thunder and the sound of pouring rain was so distinct that it reminded me that my windows were open upstairs. I paused my game and dashed upstairs to shut the windows on the side facing into the storm. I had been doing some work around the house and had pulled out a tool box, but forgot to put it away. I accidentally kicked it on the way to the window, on the run. I’m sure i said something or at least made a noise. I shut the window and put the toolbox away, but as i negotiated the stairs to return to the main floor, my toe felt floppy. 😂😂
As soon as my feet were illuminated by the lighting in the living room i could see my toe all twisted and wonky, flopping around like there were no bones at all. 😂😂
I pulled on it to reset it and that hurt. I called my ex who was a nurse for some semiprofessional medical advice. Based on her input, i taped my pinky toe to the one next to it and went about my life. It was painful to don & doff shoes for days. My work boots were flat out excruciating. It hurt on and off for a little over a week, depending on how i was standing or moving. It’s been back to normal for a long time and i rarely think about it anymore.
It’s one of my favorite stories though.

I just deal wit the pain. This actually happened to me a few weeks ago. My baby toe clipped a piece of furniture. It was dark and I was not being careful. It was pretty nasty looking for a few days.
