How many "End Violence Against Women" rallies have actually prevented women from becoming victims of violence?

The way I see it, these rallies are pointless. The men who already know violence against women is wrong don’t need a rally, and the men who don’t care aren’t going to suddenly grow a conscience. Do you honestly think a dumb rally is going to make some guy say, “You know what, they’re right — I shouldn’t beat up women”? Some people are just born the way they are, and there’s nothing you can do about it. Get over it.

Protests require someone to give a fuck about you and what you think. There isn't a rapist alive with that impulse they have forsaken their own soul. Protesting rapists is pointless because to be a rapist in the first place means you think women are objects with no rights. Why would a rapist listen to protesters when a woman screaming begging and crying for them to stop didn't do it? I'm sure that if that rape victim just had a catchy slogan and a sign it totally would have changed him as a person and made him reconsider his vile disgusting behavior in that moment.

None of them do this at all, except that they do make money for the people who put them on. They are like a big circus, only a rage-and-indignation circus. The one thing you are not allowed to do at one of these rallies is talk about women who have raped children or talk about women who have assaulted and badly injured men because those women never get held to account for any of their behavior.

Its to raise awareness to the issue. Not for the perpetrators though that would be great, but for the friends or family of perpetrators who are complicit

That doesn’t make sense, because everyone already knows about the issue. It’s not some hidden problem that people need to be made “aware” of — it’s one of the most publicly discussed and universally recognised issues out there. Awareness isn’t the problem, so raising “more awareness” doesn’t accomplish anything. Also it’s a male violence issue. Not a women’s issue. Statistically men are more violent towards other men than they are women

It raises money for cancer research, which makes it valuable. Most ‘end violence against women’ rallies don’t raise any money at all—and when they do, there’s nothing useful for them to spend it on.
