I matched with this girl on this ancestry website as my second cousin. They do DNA testing by salvia example on this website.

I have never met her before but I know how we are related. Our paternal grandfathers are brothers.

To each there own. I'll share my experience.

10 years ago an uncle showed up. Grandma was in college. Found a guy and family was racist per the norm made life complicated yet had a kid. Government agenda of kill the Indian save the man was called out but adoption in place.

My uncle was adopted to a white family just after 1978. So my grandmother abandoned him for adoption to go back to Alaska.

He made an effort to connect and our family made a point he's family no way shape or form about it. Like nothing happened. Sharing the same family dinner.

In a way every new stranger can be a new family member.

Stranger- person whom one does not know or with whom one is not familiar. It has a set definition. It's not subjective.
