Victim Dies After Home Burglary in SF Should Crime in the City Be a Bigger Concern?

San Francisco police responded to a report of a burglary in the 200 block of Granada Avenue. Officers arrived at the scene and found an adult victim who later died from his injuries.

The five US cities with the highest crime rates are Detroit, Baltimore, Memphis, Birmingham and St. Louis. With the exception of Birmingham, they are all blue zones, predominantly run by democrats for an extended period of time.
But wait, there’s more! The US has the highest gun crime rates of any developed nation in the world. But when you factor out these five cities, the US gun crime rates drop to 83rd in the global rankings. If you factor out all the blue metropolitan zones in the US, we drop to like 137th, or something like that.
Blue zones are absolutely more dangerous than red zones, by and large. And San Francisco is definitely a blue zone. When i first arrived in California, my first extended stay was in south SF. I heard a lot of horror stories about it. Most of which i counted as hyperbole, until i’d been there about a year. I saw almost everything that i was warned about. People using the sidewalks as a public toilet. People walking down the street and breaking into every car along the way. I watched two cops watch two homeless looking dudes smash windows out of at least six cars and rummage around in them for anything of value. Cops didn’t lift a finger. I have seen people passed out cold high or drunk, and used needles lying around public sidewalks. I remember reading a news article about an old woman who was mugged and ended up hospitalized in the exact area i had visited the day before, within an hour of when i was there. I’ve seen a guy walk up to a car that wasn’t his as it was stopped at a traffic light and try to get in. Fortunately the female driver had her doors locked and windows up, and dude wasn’t overly motivated to get in. He could have broken into the car and she had literally nowhere to go to escape. I was there when they ran a news segment about gangs tagging USPS vehicles, leaving many postal workers feeling unsafe about going to work and using their trucks. Not even an investigation.
SF is a hellscape. I don’t go there anymore.

Policing AND community programs. San Francisco, as beautiful as it is, is nearly devoid of a cogent middle class, with the few wealthy and far, far more numerous poor, the reason for most property crime.

Mostly Democrat run cities are dangerous places. No cash bail, illegal aliens, homeless people and liberals make a perfect breeding ground for crime.
