If you mathematically eliminate secular “charity” and compare that to the elimination religious charity, the world would be better off with religious charities alone than with secular charities alone.
There is an argument to be made about how much religious charities might “lose” if churches were taxed appropriately.
However, donations proper are not evaluated against overall church contributions.
