The fact that you are thinking to ask the question, proves that you’re aware of stereotypes and how they may affect your thinking.


Honestly it’s all you can really do. It’s not dissimilar to addiction, whereby admitting is the first step.


There are many people who simply do not even stop to think how they may characterise others according to stereotypes or tropes or racist motifs.


You’re asking the question and therefore you’re on the right track

when the learnings are emotional, will take a gorilla effort of revised programming to replace it. you can try to explore the truth and how things are mis interpreted or represented. learning, takes you to a new level.

Put yourself in their shoes. Its hard to be prejudiced of yourself like you are of others. Least thats what I do when I feel like im doing this.

Meet and talk to lots of people and you will see that stereotypes are not true.
