Technically, you need to be physically and intellectually strong to be a "warrior".
The Samurai - were a class onto themselves, but very limited and formalised. It's why no samurai on record ever beat a ninja. As a ninja was a streetwise master of dirty tricks.
The Kshatriya were largely just a rich caste of spoiled families, who won nothing. Their histories are largely myth, and most failed in combat and war.
The knight and janissary were infantry units. They were not really a class or caste.
The Zulu were a tribe, not a unit or class.
The vikings were largely pirates and brigands.
Its the warrior who his honed his skills, and his mind and practices everyday.. So it could be any one of those..
Thanks for MHO! 😃.

Historically none of the warrior classes were particularly well educated. Well conditioned and fit? Yes. Well trained in weapons and tactics? Yes. Intellectuals and strategic thinkers? Not so much. Royalty wanted loyalty and obedience in their thugs, not free thinkers.
