It's called a divided and company's will give share holders a portion of profits to encourage investors. A government could do this pretty easily. We would need to rationalize an industry or profit maker. Automation or AI like there income taxing a person would be the first go to method.

It gets a little wonky with every landlord knowing the minimum income of a ubi and every landlord just bumps up the price to eat it. Gotta be a little careful but its very doable.

I pretty much think things get fucked up when the government tries to manage it. Give the people the money and let them manage medical and the other stuff. I bet the people run it better.

The blame game would become the people that were given the money. Not the government that didn't handle their healthcare costs and so on. You see where my logic is going with this?

Just not how it is... because we currently have a government that takes almost 50% of the income from this group...

and then they hand over those resources to this group...

Split the handouts out and watch the people make the things instead of trying to manage it and end up giving it to the people that just manipulate to get weed money and not work.

Would be nice, but how are they going to pay for it? Trump's tariffs are causing some companies to close their doors and lay everyone off. So the $Billions Trump is bringing in with tariffs will not be doing us much good as far as being an individual. Nor helping healthcare, Social Security, Medicare, or any other program for the poor. Frankly, they can't afford stimulus payments. I haven't seen any stimulus checks yet, have you?

We'll, I like the idea of them sending me a free gift every month. how nice to receive a gift basket from your govt every month with fresh fruit, or cheeses wine and such.

problem is someone else had to pay for it. and it costs a lot to distribute.

That is called a universal basic income and has been discussed. I think right now it maybe premature, but soon with AI and robots taking more and more jobs we will need something like that, probably early next decade.
