One can post their own nude or semi-nude photos so he/she can suggest an ex posted it/them and try to get their ex in trouble.

It doesn't take a lot to use proxy servers to hide the poster.

In the same way, if the server is off shore, it's also likely that such photos would be difficult, if not impossible to control.

I'd never suggest such actions are okay. I'm just wondering how it can be effective to control.

Any argument to the contrary suggests that anarchy is superior to imperfect law and order. Which is ridiculous.

Any law is only ever a deterrent against any form of behaviour. A law can never prevent anything, but transgression can come with significant consequences.

You can't control it. It will happen but making it illegal can stop people from doing it. Most voyeuristic porn is illegal, yet there's a lot of it out there. The thing is that seeing it, looking at it is legal. There's no crime in that. The crime is in producing it (filming and uploading). So, laws don't stop it, but they can prosecute people who do it, and that deters a lot of people from engaging in it.
