Isn't it sad since like 15 years ago most Americans can't carry a conversation with a person they don't know past 5 minutes?

I'm also talking about if they are only with one other person and it is a person that is a stranger. Of course if it is about a passionate topic like politics, yeah but if someone tries to come off with a topic from the top of their head with a person they don't know, most won't know what to say past 5 minutes unless they are drunk or high.

What are the chances that they want to talk about the exact same thing?

15 years ago internet didn't replace the need to gather information from real people. Now it does. Even politics was more normal to discuss in person without forums and comment sections under news articles. ㅤ
