Yes for the vote but they should be placed on unpaid suspension until a hearing for them to present proof. If they don't have proof then forfeit any pay they had coming and after being formally fired presented with a suit for defamation.

Well most employees must adhere to organizational guidelines. Saying or doing something that brings the company into disrepute can put you into jeopardy. At work one really does not have freedom of speech. Thus i think this employee is in trouble. If they objected to Trumps presence it was best to discuss with their supervisor and probably not attend.

Nope. Freedom of speech covers that kind of thing. It was neither a threat nor an incitement to violence. However, the employer is also likely well within their rights if they can prove that the employee’s behavior could negatively impact productivity and/or the company’s ability to meet customer expectations and attract new business. Unless there is an existing contract, you can be fired for most any reason or no reason at all. Just the same as you can quit for any reason or no reason at all.

At work you are a representative of your company and there is no freedom of speech to say whatever you want. Off the clock, you can say whatever you want but no company is obligated to pay you to say what you want to visitors to their place of business. I don't have a problem with what he said, I have a problem with where and when he said it. The heckler wanted to get a reaction from Trump and Trump fell for it because he can't stop himself from childish behavior.

Ironically, yes. I think as an employee of a company, you should represent that company in public, at least when you're on the clock.

In Germany, the President could potentially sue him (an insult like this is probably a 1000€ compensation), but his job would have been safe. I like the German system better.
