I don't agree that stronger people use love as a weapon to fool weaker people though manipulate people do. That is very common. Divorce often occurs when one of the couple has used up all the benefits from their current partner and they look for benefits from a new person.

Manipulative people are probably weak because they seek from others what they can't or aren't willing to get under their own steam.

It is easier for a strong person to give from generosity.
