I used this buzzword myself back when I was a feminist. Let me explain, from experience, why many women use it.

It functions as a psychological cover, a coping mechanism. Men are generally more emotionally stable, and that is a biological strength men have over women, alongside many other biological advantages. This is why terms like “emotionally unavailable” are often twisted into buzzwords: they serve as a coping strategy. Modern women become frustrated by the fact that they are not as emotionally stable as men, so they attempt to reframe a clear biological advantage as a flaw.

All in the name of equality that we have been repeated with by the mainstream media over and over again for generations. So we'd like to 'balance things' out by demonizing men's biological superiority into 'inferiority' all in the name of "equality".

People who speak negatively about the entire opposite sex…. Really just repulse decent people. People with self respect don’t want things taken out on them…. That other people have done and isn’t in their control. They understand that people make excuses and justifications for their behavior but never genuinely want to fix it.

There are people who have been through a lot of shit… and never became horrible people.

It depends on the man. If a woman can genuinely get a man to open up with her and only to her…. That is a amazing thing. But then again…. Unfortunately there is a lot of men that have had women act sweet get them to open up in the beginning… and then use it against him later. And it will be hard for that man to ever open up again.

The same way it is for women when they have opened up to a man and she either got rejected shut down immediately…. Or he acted empathetic to get information to use later. Irs hard to open up.

In normal healthy relationships people do open up to one another HOWEVER, it takes time to build that trust and bond for both people. A relationship is supposed to be special. You’re supposed to at some point be able to see another side of someone that they don’t show the world and fall in love with it. But it takes time… it takes trust.

These type of women who are generally narcissistic… Will make a man’s life miserable. Because the minute he opens up…. She will either see him as weak or use it against him. But if he never opens up…. Keeps everything in and become a prisoner inside his own house until he eventually breaks. It happens to women too in these relationships eventually you break.

But women who are emotionally stable… They get that. They tend to understand that it takes time for someone to open up like that. They also understand it takes time before they can open up that way.

not sure if there's a gap between the two genders, i think plenty of men are also unable to cope with their emotions, particularly in primary school, but also still in junior high. not sure about what comes after, but from what i've seen in the streets and when i think of "videos with crazy people" i mostly think of men. if anything, there's this coping strategy by people who claim that being impulsive, as they call it, is somehow a good thing, right after or before having done sth stupid. thinking about it a bit longer, i think only women make this claim. either way, maybe just being normal would be the most acceptable thing for most people, no?

Emotions aren't necessary for a hunter who should bring meat into the cave or fight away hungry wolf packs. That's why men are better in suppressing emotions over a longer time.
Some girls just don't understand that men won't play under same rules like other girls do when they get emotionally provoked in a positive or negative way. Because showing emotions is among boys who don't know close each other seen as a weakness or manipulation attempt. While boys don't understand than girls are emotionally much more forgiving.

It's just old conflict of sexes packed in new word husk like "emotional unavailability"

Well you are right to a point.. there are men out there that are just like you said. And then there are organizations that label men because they want to break them

But at the same time, you have to understand there are men that are men, they walk their own walk. They don't care what media says they don't care what mainstream says they know who they are. You're not going to chase anybody. They don't take any s***

That's funny, I've heard something sinilar from a fellow man recently. The idea was that "emotional availability" is basically "emotional vulnerability", for example being susceptible to tear-jerker stories about how abusive a woman's ex was in order to get manipulated into taking care of her children with another man (or even with multiple other men). That makes me wonder... I do not want to become a soulless monster (not that I can help it much in current conditions), but I would literally rather die than get baited into a horrible situation like this.

Oh... And the update does sound a bit like collecting likes... But You know what? I will be "emotionally available" this time. The more feminists consumed by rage, the better... As long as that's what Your content causes, I will be right there for You! Now, these might be "low" emotions on my side, but You know what? I do not care anymore!

Women are going to have a really hard time if they can't catch up with the thoughts you're having.

Been saying a long time the problem is women are expected to take part in aans world that they aren't prepared for. Not even because of biology by itself. Girls grow up learning to be "girls" same with boys.

We have father's or mentors who pullnfrom generation s and generations of men who worked so many different situations and places. Women simply don't have access to the modes of thinking we Dom they have to carve a lot of their own space into society and it's going to be hard work.

I think that’s such a strange thing. When you’re getting to know women even months into it they will just snap and turn on you in an instant and completely throw you away like it was nothing. Guys have dedication to them already and have at least good ones a attitude to fix everything, the house, the cars, the relationship. And in my experience girls just want to fight against you fixing things the whole time. Won’t work with you at all and you finally have to just say they’re right for sanity even if they did it. And that’s one of those girls will be girls things that’s insane, even when THEY did the thing. Like look how they react when found cheating. That’s still the guys fault.

I really hate that about dating a lack of dedication and being devoted to a person and wanting them to know that you like them. That’s the biggest thing for me. What would I want from somebody that doesn’t like me?

Well there was this one woman who did this social experiment disguising as a man, getting male friends and trying to date women to see what life is as a man. She eventually got depressed and killed herself even though she massively appreciated male friendships. if that doesn't tell you what it's like to date women, I don't know what will.

It's true that men can seem more emotionally stable how everyone feels emotion is not always thesame regardless of the gender and men may just be better at hiding it because of their usual past experiences and social stigma for showing emotions women dont get to experience often. It's also likely "men are emotionally unavailable" is a way for feminists to just blame men for hiding their emotions also so that they can take advantage of it if they give in and try to open up about it.

Here is my opinion. Women are governed primarily by emotions. After that comes reason and logic. Most men are the other way around. Reason a logic come first. And emotionality comes after that.
