Some of you folks are so incredibly out of touch and uneducated about this country's spending priorities and where the money goes. Every damn day you get grifted in ways you aren't even aware of, with taxpayer dollars going down the drain or being given to companies of specific billionaires.

Apparently you and I went to different schools throughout college and professional school. My classmates were Hispanic, African American, white, and Asian. The mixture of Hispanic, African American, and Asian people made things a lot more interesting, and I learned a lot from all of those people. They all turned out to be really good doctors. I don't think you understand that other races bring genetic diversity to children, and genetic diversity is the thing that increases intelligence in everyone.

There is plenty of untapped talent in the United States. I used to live outside Atlanta and my classmates were diverse in ethnicity and race too. If I wanted diversity, I would still be in Atlanta. Instead, my normally white community here in west Knoxville is being flooded with outsiders and different races. I hate it, and I didn't want my hometown to become the new Atlanta.

Why is the connection between race and career success such an issue for you? I don't understand why race has anything to do with this one way or the other, except that it's probably true that people who are not educated in the United States have better education because it doesn't cost them an arm and leg to get it in their countries, whereas in the United States you have to literally mortgage your future to get a college education, not to mention medical or graduate school. That problem is more a function of capitalism than it is of skin color. Capitalists realized that by founding "schools" (even those of dubious quality), they can make a lot of money by having the students borrow government funds which they then have to pay back over many years. In my profession, we have been having this discussion since there have been many very marginal schools founded in the last 20 years that prey on students who for financial or academic reasons can't get admitted elsewhere. These schools are well known, and students who go to these schools have a great deal of difficulty in getting employment or contracting work when they get out of school, yet the schools continue unabated. The students keep attending them because they can't go anywhere else and it looks like the schools are so differentially easy to graduate from with a "degree" that the students go there instead of elsewhere where it might be much more difficult. Again, all of this is a problem generated by capitalism, not generated by differential skin color.

Students from other countries get better education than people in the US get, and because of this, they are generally more competitive relative to white people in college, graduate, and medical school admissions than you might otherwise expect.

The 10th amendment of the US Constitution states that powers not given to the federal government nor prohibited to the states is given to the STATES. We do not need a US Department of Education to oversee states and their education. We do not need to rely on the federal government for grants. The federal government is far too big. What we should mostly be concerned about is our own states and down to the local level. Of course no one wants to pay an additional fire and emergency services tax when we watch our dollars being wasted by the federal government. Get rid of the illegal alien entitlement junkies who we have given billions of dollars of aid and tax revenue to, and that will help some of the problems.

Illegal aliens that are deported are not counted in negative migration. If 1 million legally immigrated to the US and 1.3 American residents/citizens moved from the US to other countries, then the net migration was -300k. The 600k illegal aliens that were caught and deported and the 1.9 million illegal aliens that voluntarily left the US aren't included in net migration. Negative migration includes American born citizens moving to other countries as well as legal immigrants. Countries with low birth rates and an aging population need immigration to replace the lost taxpayers.
