NYC is already the most expensive city on the east coast. It will just get passed on to customers who will stop going to small buisnesses and eating out. Big corporations like wallmart and McDonald's will seek to lower their wage bill by bringing in more automation and employing fewer people. They did this already in LA.

its also very disrespectful to the people who decided to WORK HARD, kill themselves in school for years just to make 30-40 an hour. Now you're giving people who never wanted to work hard to be making 30 an hour without ANY investment on their own part.

There are a lot of people out there who actually EARN their way through life by pulling out loans, going to school while working full time jobs.

When you do things like this, its a huge slap in the face for the people who actually earned it.
