As long as its not legal consequences of course since thats against our first amendment rights. Should companies be allowed to punish their workers for things they say on the clock? Such as suspension or termination of their employment?

Freedom of speech is only applied towards the government punishing you. It doesn't mean you can say whatever you want whenever you want with zero consequences 100 percent. It just means the government won't come down on you for it.
An employer can fire you if they want to. It doesn't mean you can't sue however for wrongful termination.
Yes, I think they should. Employers have the right to choose how they want to run their business.
And just because there's freedom of speech, it doesn't mean that they can offend or attack a group of people or someone in specific. That's disrespect.
and not be fired for it? so it should be illegal for employers to punish their workers for things they say on the clock?
No, in that instance they should be fired
