manipulating the market is what they do. this is how they do it. they cause uncertainty. collectors aren't really playing the market. they hoarde for the long run and their actions don't really change much. they aren't going to buy high and they aren't going to sell low. they will continue to buy low and only then.

but the problem that is happening is when silver was high, some did go to sell and they found out that there were no buyers. or they'd buy it for a lot less than the market price. that's scary!!

No. Gold and silver prices are actually very high recently and the wealthy people keep running commercials trying to convince people to buy/invest in it because those rich people want to sell it now that the price is high for huge profits.

Also, some people that buy precious metals do it in case the economy/government collapses, not realizing that those metals will have little to no value if that happened, but food, water, and weapons would have great value. The safest long term investment is actually firearms and ammunition, kept in the box in new condition, then in 20 years or so when something happens to make people panic (Y2k, Obama election, Covid lockdowns, etc.) the price more than doubles, sometimes quadruples. They never lose their value. You can really price gouge people for them once the stores run out of supplies. 30-06 ammo went from $0.85 per round to over $3 per round during the lockdowns. Many guns increased substantially in value during that time too once the stores ran out.

I believe gold and silver can be one diversification of investment that guards against infation.

10,000 dollars worth of gold will not deflate in value.

It is not an investment that makes gains like average 10 percent gains in the market can over decades.

I am not in a position to buy precious metals. But in the near future, I'm going to sell my home. And then I intend to rent where I go to. And I will probably immerse some of the money that I have from the sale into precious metals. I favor silver because gold is too densely expensive.
