Trending & News I think it can be true, but not in a cruel way.
When people are hurting, they look for others who understand the feeling. It’s less about dragging someone down and more about not wanting to feel alone in it.
The problem is when sharing pain turns into staying stuck in it together. The healthy version is finding company that helps you heal, not just company that agrees you’re miserable.
I really only apply it to those who seek validation for their misery. Originally intended to just be a way to find comfort, now they think you’re a bad person for not hearing them out when they talk about how awful everything is for them all the time and you don’t give in to their coping mechanism
I'm never miserable. Those people are for the birds man. Miserable people are not worth your time. I tell them to get lost till their attitude changes. Got not time for piss eyed, or angry people.
Life is short, it should be beautiful.
It's healthy in moderation. But highly, highly destructive in excess. That line is pretty thin and sneaks up on you.

It doesn't apply to me. I don't feel good when others are in the same bad state as me.
In fact it can make me feel worse because often times I feel unable to actively help.
Yes I believe in that phrase. It's more often than not true.
I mean... just look at politics, lol...
Yep 100 perfect.. You feel less alone commiserating with others
