No. It was particularly popular in the late '60s and '70s.
That was when liberalism was cool and people treated each other like brothers and sisters. Way before the Obama era when Democrats and "new" liberals started promoting nonsensical ideas like cultural appropriation and white privilege in an effort to inflame racial tension and divisiveness.

No it means nothing is the way he wants his hair. He can have his hair any which way he wants to
So I shave my head because I love that look. I love the feeling
Would it be offensive because of all the people before me? No
It's his style, that's what he wants. That's what he gets in more power to him. It means nothing but that
Nobody has a patent on a afro or curly hair it means nothing at all except for that's what he wants. Well, that's what he gets.
It is a style. Anybody in this world can have that same style , no matter who they are
Not inherently.
Hair is personal and cultural, but context matters. Wearing an afro respectfully, understanding its history, and avoiding mocking or appropriating is key. It becomes offensive only if it disrespects the culture or trivializes its significance.
Intent and awareness make the difference.
Of course not.
Anyone can have naturally curly fro hair. The guy in the pic obviously has curly hair that hasn’t been moisturized and defined.
If you brush out curls you get a nice Afro. Add some curl defining gel or cream and you’ll have get defined curls.

Not offensive but it looks stupid.
Hey Nike guy in the picture, I'mma let you finish, but Bob Ross had the greatest white guy afro of all time!
@7Phoenix7 Is he a good painter too?
@7Phoenix7 I dunno, I think Bob could have passed for one too.
A libtard will get offended by anything, normies and everything right of communist just don't give a fuck.
Ugly af but not offensive they were a fad in the 70s at least among blacks and whites. I don't know if other races wore their hair like that. The look that Barny Collier from Mission impossible had. White people often wore afro wigs to get the look.
Um I don't see how that would be offensive.. So how do you determine, whether someone naturally very thick, tightly curled, or coily hair, or whether it's styled or altered to look this way (unless they're wearing a wig or something).. Anyone can have naturally tightly curled or kinky hair; this isn't exclusive to a particular race
no I had one and it was cool, that pic is cool.
but don't be wearing pea funk oils and such, that's nasty. and no nose rings, thats African.
If a hairstyle offends you you need to check your fragility
Life requires a minimum of toughness that would include not being too traumatized by someone’s hair
Offensive to whom? If someone has curly hair, and this is the best haircut for them, why should they change their style? I had a smaller version of that in high school.
To a leftist, radical psychopath it probably is.
Yes 💯! Me and Karen bass are going to start an Afro riot until Millie Bobby Brown and screech from saved by the bell both get white peoples hair cut.
Cultural appropriation is yet another stupid nonsense perpetrated by democrats and liberals.
No! Leave the heavy metal headbangers alone!
People should have any hair and hairdos they like, if you were to be offended by it I see it as that being your problem
How is being born with curly hair offensive? Some of us can't really help it.
( and yes I know I have short hair in my pic but when it gets long it gets curly like sheep's wool )
You can ask Weird Al.
No, my hubby had one when he was younger with longer hair. He has very curly hair.
if you said yes, you're a racist. no culture or race "owns" a haircut. everyone is free to do what they like.
Of course not, maybe it is how his hair naturally grows
Most of the time it's genetics. Can't do anything about that.
No, especially if that is the way that his hair naturally grows.
Some of us have curly hair, that's how it grows.
No, a lot of white people have hair that is naturally like that.
I had very curly hair growing up and the girls loved running their hands threw my curls.
No. Is it offensive for a black man such as I to wear cowboy gear?
Can’t see how it is. Look up David Clark. Guy was controversial, not because how he dresses though.
@blackeagle007 David Clark?
A famous sheriff in Milwaukee
@blackeagle007 THAT a**hole!!! Almost forgot the pr*ck !!!
There was talk Trump was gonna make him DHS. Wonder whatever happened with that? Someone once shook his head at Clark, the head shaker got stopped by police as a result.
It is offensive for any man to have a mullet.
You should see My Wedding picture from 1968
No. People have a right to look stupid.
no, white people can have curly hair too.
That's NOT an Afro though
What afro? He appears to have a perm.
No, it just looks retarded
