Frankly, no, I don't think young kids need to or should be exposed to drag queens. However, kids do need to know about the real world including the existence of drage queens, but just at an appropriate age. Legislation prohibiting drag queens from being in schools is, in essence, a hindrance on education and thus prolongs ignorance and bigotries and may even enhance bigotries.

Let me attack this in a different way though:

Fear, intolerance, and hate are born from ignorance.
Education and experience kill ignorance and thus eliminate fear, intolerance, and hate.

This is why conservatives hate education. It's easier to fool people and get them to support your hatred and policies if you inhibit their ability to learn the truth about nature which may be opposite of your policy objectives.
