If we find a single cell organism on another planet, that’s called life, but a multicellular fetus isn’t called life? explain this logic?

In the sense that an unborn cell mass takes legal precedent over the health and wellbeing of the person it’s attached to, a legally recognized person, it’s not as important. If that person dies as a result of the development of the cells (ectopic pregnancy for example) would you say the person was at fault for not terminating, or was the mass of cells at fault for the murder-suicide?

That single cell organism can survive on its own. A fetus can't, until it matures and is capable of surviving outside the uterus. That is why we humans put so much importance on birth.

An infant can't survive on its own either so the "birth" argument doesn't make much sense

@David318578 Sure it can. At birth, it's lungs are developed enough so that it can breathe, and it can feed from its mother's nipples. When it gets older, it can reproduce. All those things are what defines life. In the womb, before about 30 weeks gestation, a fetus can do none of those things.

It can not feed from its mothers nipples without the mother supporting it, so for it to survive on its own.. that means its on its own.. no mother
