If you're a multi millionaire like Jimmy Kimmel living behind a gated community with your own private security, open borders probably makes sense. After all, he did cry on the air about his cheap servants being kicked out of the country.
Go on YouTube and watch the Democratic primary debate in 2008. Democratic senator Mike Gravel really stood out. He knew he couldn't win, so I think he just wanted to piss off Hillary.
Mike: "Do you really think gas is $3.00 per gallon? Did you forget to factor in the wars these guys on stage voted for to get the oil? It's more like $12.00 per gallon."

Agree completely. In Ireland way back up until the 80s maybe men espicially from the west of rural Ireland used to get on the boat to work as farm labourers in Scotland but they went there legally. and they returned Today Irish, scottish and English go over to new Zealand and Australia to full labour shortages in the agricultural field but they do so legally and they return.

The US should be doing this.

I know of no one who claims that open borders make things cheaper. What open borders do is increase crime, divert citizen tax dollars to non-citizens, and take some jobs away from US citizens and legal residemts.
