The assumption that 100% of people that fit a certain description will behave in accordance with the general stereotype is false.
But the stereotype exists for a reason.
It’s rarely manufactured.
It’s an observation of how a large group of people behave and the correlation between their behavior and their background
So I think we need to understand stereotypes as they do exist, denying them is just plain denial.
But I don’t think we should pre judge everyone we meet based on a stereotype
It’s unfair for a person to be held accountable for the deeds of others
It’s probably 50:50, because it depends on the intelligence of the observer. So, while it’s true that Germans like punctuality and tidiness, we don’t yell in conversations and we generally don’t wear lederhosen.
I believe so to some degree. That's why many "stereotyped" jokes are so funny. I mean , I'm blonde but some blonde jokes are a total riot, 'cuz yes, I've done similar and can relate.
And up here we're a bunch of redneck, backasswards, hillbilly country hicks anyways but we will be the first ones to laugh about our own stereotypes 'cuz, yeah, that's us. 🤣

Ty for the MHO 😊
I think there's a "grain of truth" in stereotypes as a generalised observation. But individuals are not all alike. Like I'm British and I hate tea. But I do like a roast dinner. And we don't complain a lot outwardly when we should.

As a minority, YES they absolutely are. Aside from the 20% of hilarious nonsense that was gifted to us lol
No, I don't believe stereotypes are accurate observations. Stereotypes are high assumptions and an observation is subjective.
Correlation doesn’t equal causation.
They are created as opinions based on a very limited sampling of observations.
Biased observations, they want to reinforce their distain…
yes, most are based in fact.
