How do trends influence the way a group of people think or feel?

I just watched the movie “Hamnet”... There are hundreds of videos of people before and after watching it saying it made them cry... It didn’t for me, and believe me when I say that I’m a very emotional person... there were sad parts in it or depressing to be precise, I finished the movie only because I’ve never left a movie in the middle... I believe it was just a trend... no less no more.

Im really not in to them especially when a new word comes out. And everybody starts using it. I stay away from them


It's kind of like when I used to watch TV. And I would put it on some sort of media that was always talking about the left and the right I\n Could see that it was all manipulation. If you change the channel that media would be for the left the other one was for the right and just the way that they manipulate. You went into believing something

And then you would come on here and half of everybody sounded just like the media with the same words that they used to use with the same type of programming that they would ask their questions with , and that's what I said , no more , this is crazy

And I think a lot of people don't really know themselves. Don't really know what's going on in the world , they just follow , and i'm not one of those people

I am not on socials and don't hear about how a movie is until I see it but hear so many that already have an opinion on a movie before they see it

I am also don’t have any socials but I’ve heard from my colleagues at work about those trendy videos and I wanted to check the movie.. and how I told you before watching it I was thinking I am gonna cry but i didn’t 😄

I think trends are more of a High School age thing or a woman thing. I mean if a bunch of women all started being a certain way about a movie or something... it wouldn't surprise me. They're very collective in that way. Dudes... not so much. Maybe far leftist dudes, because they're basically chicks anyways. Emotional, illogical, and easily influenced by things that don't really matter.

Like look at the septum ring thing... it's basically only women and leftist dudes that have a questionable sexuality.

I'm not sure where the trend part comes in? I haven't seen it, but I think you're saying it's an emotionally evocative movie and some people react to it that way. Lots of movies do that, so please clarify why this would be trendy? Thanks. :)
