Why do people bully those who are different?

Let’s say like someone with intellectual disabilities as adults they are bullied a lot how come?

Bullying is fundamentally about establishing dominance. When a person feels powerless in their own life, they may target individuals they perceive as weaker to feel more secure and in control.

Bullies often have their own deep-seated insecurities. By putting someone else down, they temporarily boost their own ego and social standing.

Many bullies lack the ability to understand or care about the feelings of others, making it easier for them to cause harm without guilt.

I wish I knew the answer to this. Maybe a twisted need to feel powerful or superior? No matter what it shows a total lack of understanding and empathy. People with empathy have to call out this behavior when we see it.

Yeah they do!! How can they call out that?

Do not stay silent. If you see someone being a bully its as simple as telling them to stop it... maybe put yourself in the other persons shoes for a change.

It’s generally the unhappy people who feel the urge to bully other people.
Bullied are losers. It is best to look happy in front of the people who try to put you down. It makes them feel like they haven’t succeeded.

Usually they're doing something that doesn't benefit us as a group. Obviously it's more complicated than that, but that's my simplified version of it.

They are really insecure and picking on somebody smaller or weaker makes them feel good about themselves.
